Hakkinen always kept true to his helmet design (well, from the F3000 days onwards anyway).
I always thought it was a shame that Schumacher went to the all read helmet. I liked the helmet he used up to Monaco 2000.

Oh well, it's not the end of the world, but still, I think it sucks bigtime.

Agreed.

Some of the newer drivers helmets are terrible though - di Resta, Maldonado, STR guys. Now Perez has a new helmet which sucks.

Really looking forward to see Caterham in their first race. With all the new toys they got from RedBull it could get interesting.

There was a time when I recognized a driver by his helmet. Now I have not the slightest idea what the helmets of Maldonado or Di Resta look like. I know the helmets of Tuero and Nakano better than the current ones

I don't really care. People like Raikkonen always keep something from their style in their helmet.
Only thing I don't like is Vettel who changes his lid every win.

No doubt that's a glory lap from Alonso to try and hide the problems. Not many laps done today isn't great. They'll get it sorted but it isn't ideal preparations.

Jarno Trulli is happy with power steering, thank god

I'm glad it helped :)

By the way, this STR fight will be great during the whole year, its one of the duels I wait the most during this season.

Interesting to see Bruno doing more than the double of the laps Maldonado has done, it seems Williams is giving him a grea chance to get used to the team and the car, let's see what will happen in Barcelona next week.

I think Pastor had car trouble, although it is very good for Williams and for Bruno that they did get a race simulation completed today.

Apparently the drop-off was very even and overall not too bad, which bodes well.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

oh oh time for Trulli train

Trulli was doing really long stints today and comparing them with Bruno and especially STR, I think Catheram might actually be in the mix now and surely this year they can challenge Q3.

You are right about all of the examples but Ferrari in 09. It was not expected for them to have a dog or anything close to that. I actually remember that once Massa said that they(Ferrari) expected to be the best team after Brawn. In that particular case, the reality was even worse than the expectation.

So, somebody from finnish media is saying to his public that, according to the greatest engineer of all time in F1, the car their beloved finnish driver will be driving, is "good/or even better than that"

For the record, back in November/December I remember that some journalist(IIRC, a finnish one) wrote that Newey said RB8 would be very different, radical....... Some time after that, Newey denied to have said such thing and it turned out that RB8 is VERY similar to RB7.

According to everybody who were at Jerez, Caterham doesn't seem as bad as last year but still every car was much earlier on throttle, out of the corners, than Heikke.
