It'll be a good way for everyone to come back into the "racing is awesome" mentality, after this weekend.

Also, i'll be up for a Skype chatter.

Looking forward to seeing what sort of racing we get with the recent changes. Trucks will be awesome as always thanks to non-matching bumpers and Max Papis.

Agreed.

What happened was terrible, but we can't stay forever in this situation, in this sad ambiance.
Sure, the Vegas tragedy was only yesterday, but I think we need HoF Nascar threads to recover our smile and our love or motorsports.
We simply don't have the same way to exorcise such a tragedy like this one.

Hoping they do a silent lap 77 or something like that. Would be a nice tribute to Dan.

Mike Wallace in the 33 truck? Odd.

Why can't Jayski format his entry lists the same way.

Man, after this awful week-end, the only thing i want is Speed, Good Battles, Great Cars, Great Drivers and tears of joy in Victory Lane. No filp. No crash. Just Racing. Nothing more, nothing less. That's all i needed.

Kyle Busch can redeem all his asshole-crybaby-douchebaggery all in one move this weekend IF and only IF he pushes Chris Fontaine across the finish line in first on Saturday. (something I honestly think he was trying to do in each of the last two truck plate races)

Still wishing and hoping for a Joe Nemechek victory.

Me and a buddy of mine are driving up at 4:30am Saturday from Orlando, catching the CWTS race, sleeping in my truck in the infield (can't wait for that experience) and going to the Cup race Sunday! :D

All this weekend needs is some great, clean motor racing. It'd be the best tribute to Dan, and besides it's good for the fans too.

Yes. Hope he runs well with TK again. That would probably be my ideal 1 - 2. :)

I'm sure this race will be great. Even if Jimmie Johnson leads half the race and goes unchallenged for the win, for now it'll still feel good, because everyone will likely get out of their cars safe and sound after the race. After the horrible events last weekend, safety feels so much more important to the success and enjoyability of a race. Of course that feeling will fade with time and we'll be back to riffing on awful broadcasting, boring races, and snobby/cardboard drivers, but I do think this weekend will be appreciated under a new light than what we are used to. It will be a good race.

Remember how NASCAR was going to open up the plates a little for this race?

Anyone wanna bet me that NASCAR won't be gun shy given the IRL tragedy and back pedal on that decision? IMO we will have a boring race to ensure safety with 99.999% probability.

A pair of Dega and Martinsville are my favourite coming one after another weekends, cause after this events the range of contenders for the title is pretty often shortened to two or three drivers. Due to differences in time zones it'll be hard to withstand a few nights without sleep, but it's not a problem for Dega, over against, I'll be happy to talk over the races with all of you.
