Looking at the schedule on indycar.com it looks as though Edmonton has changed back to the old layout, meh

Regardless of what you want to say about Neilson ratings and how flawed they may be, there is no way that anyone could logically say that Indycar has anywhere near the viewership as any major NASCAR series.

Yeaa, just seeing those pics of it was just heartbreaking. So much work would be needed to be done to reopen it :(

Wow...his wife finished second in the championship. Amazing. Simply amazing.

That DP-01 looks pretty nice though. Hard to believe it is five years old now.

I'll say it again, all the figures are guesses, based on a formula by Neilsen which is so outdated, even the TV networks are not taking them seriously now, if you believe they're accurate then I'm not going to argue with you, other than to let the facts speak for themselves:.

I don't believe it's the most accurate system. But it's still a system that's influential in the decision making process for advertisers and networks. TV sitcoms that produce poor Neilsen ratings are usually dropped. If IndyCar viewership was considerably higher than what's being reported by Neilsen. They would still be on ESPN.

I've got a print of Jim Swintal's DP-01 introduction poster that CCWS handed out back in 2006 hanging on the wall next to my computer desk still. That was one sexy racecar.

I'm literally falling off my chair :D

At first I thought it was another fake news page put up by Plourde, but then I noticed it was the "Real thing". Brilliant humor by Marshall Pruett. Other driver's reported reactions are the funniest part.

If he switches to Indycar, I'll be rooting for MP racing! :flag:

If Mark Plourde actually has a wife, I'm killing myself.

i dont mind the schedule THAT much. sure, i was watching in the 90s, loving everything about open wheel, but look at what they have now. the oval races have almost universally sucked for years now, so the fewer the better as far as i'm concerned. and the street races have been so herpity-derpity lately, they are literally the only races on the schedule that i get excited for, because they are so stupid. bring on more stupid, 2012! im actually kind of excited to see how bad it may be.

Marshall has referred to Plourde before in articles, and writing a whole article about him was the next thing to do.

Oreo doesn't like that the article was written.
