Please share some of the stories. Sounds like fun. :)

The shoes one was about being in Japan. They convinced Dan to go to the Honda museum. Meanwhile, Tony Kanaan got hold of his room key by claiming he was Dan Wheldon (Tony is now barred from that hotel  ) and got himself and Dario into his room. They took all of his left shoes and FedEx'd them back to America. They took all the light bulbs out of the room and turned the heating to the max. :D

They said there is more to that story, but wouldn't tell it in front of a "mixed age" audience. I guess it had an adult theme. :p

Dan was a complete neat freak which made for more lulz

so that's the end of the memorial, very nice and fitting tribute to Dan, I must say I have been very impressed with Indycars efforts since the crash, very professional.

That was a brilliant tribute. Very moving. Very funny. Incredibly upsetting.

God speed Dan.

Great tribute.

In that final song, Tony just lost it. I nearly did as well. RIP :(

Dan has won the Indy 500 more then once. More people have achieved that but Dan has done his with a different set of teeth both times.

Your posts are incredibly insensitive and inappropriate.
Yes I can, I just did. I just got a "board warning" for it though. Amazing. I thought this was a forum for sharing thoughts on racing related things, and if death and how drivers deal with it is a part of racing why can't it be discussed? Getting sad and/or upset about a death achieves *nothing* unless someone needs to be held accountable . I presented one view on a death (that happens to be my view), one that MANY other people in the world share, with the point of me saying it to question (right or wrong) whether that might be Helio's view.

Now I'm all upset and offended. See what you've done?

You'll get another if you don't pipe down.

Yes, this is a forum to express opinions. Yes, your opinions may be different to other people's. Yes, you have a right to voice your opinions.

That does not mean you can come bulldozing into a thread and spout crap to get a rise out of people. It will not be tolerated and it has no place either in this thread or in the rest of the forum.

Yup, there's a right time and right place to say things like rhashana said. I understand what he means, but he could have been more discreet about what he said.

The way you (rhashana) said things were like you blamed Helio for not caring. You probably didn't meant it that way. "Wasting time on grief" is also a quite hard and cold thing to say this soon. When your timing is off (way too soon) and you use cold words, you get negative feedback. Nobody probably cares if you feel offended now because of what you did.

Moving on.

Here's Randy Barnard's speech from yesterday. Very nice words from he also.
http://www.indycar.com/news/archive/show/55-izod-indycar-series/50932-indycar-ceoand-39-s-remarks-at-public-service/

On the first two pages were discussion about the ratings of Vegas event and a quote from Randy earlier this year that he would quit if the rating would be under 1.0 for the race. Does anyone know what kind of ratings did this event get? Not like it would matter much, but I'm curious to know.

some one earlier posted that it was a 1.5 but they didnt show a source for that info. im sure also that the ratings jumped significantly after news of the crash broke while people tuned in to await news. even if it was 1.0 or higher its the last possible way he'd want that rating. im sure im not the only case of this but as i posted earlier it was my fiancee's first indycar race. she never watches em with me and i finally talked her into this one since i figured it'd be pretty action packed. little did i know........ :(

I wanna know which website the retards at Las Vegas Memorial Hospital downloaded their doctorates from.

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/95667

How do you miss that? Guy comes in complaining of back pain, who also has a previous back injury, the idea is that you check the spine.

Morons.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Pippa Mann's hand injury also sounds uite nasty. Was it just burns or did her hand hit something?
