Why did the track announcer have to keep on talking during the parade? A lap of silence was too much asked for?

I just guess that's a difference between the US and Europe, in their eyes this will be a respective thing to do. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Rest in peace Dan Wheldon.

Seeing the cars do the tribute laps with the bagpipes in the background was very touching. Probably the most emotionnal motorsport-related thing I've ever witnessed.

Looking at the new car, the closed rear end doesn't look that bad anymore.

I've closed my eyes after the 3rd lap, too much mental strikes for one night.

Gotta try and sleep now. Just such an awful way to end the day. RIP Dan :(

Life is so cruel. This was the last race running with a car without rear wheel fenders. Typical.

What do you guys expect if they are racing at 400 kmph on ovals? It was just a matter of time. Wheldon, as other europeans in US are just guys who failed in europe so went to race in US. Stop crying like babies and man up!

It's that Marty Reid was able to maintain himself as well as he did. I've watched two races all year and I was barely able to control myself. I can't imagine how hard it was for him and all the ABC crew, who were good friends with him.

A truly sad day for all of us. I hate that it ended this way.
