I'm very excited for this. Great track layout and I guess overtaking won't be a problem. I just hope DRS doesn't make it impossible to defend position.

The start is going to be very interesting here, they haven't had a slow corner so close to the start before

Going to be a wet week here in the UK after today (so luckily I won't be in the country for 2 weeks :p) so it looks as if a weekend affected by spells of rain is highly likely.

Does anyone know where the 2 DRS zones will be? And detection line?

Oh right, thanks. I thought every race was having 2 DRS zones after Canada. Or was that never the plan...?

Still not sold by this layout, although admittedly I have barely watched any races on it, hopefully a good race but I am expecting more tedious RBR domination. An aero track? Their advantage will probably be about a second.

Prior to the event, showers will move in across Northamptonshire on Wednesday and Thursday, before more prolonged rainfall crosses central parts of England on Friday. Both practice sessions are currently forecast to feature wet running, with the main band of rain arriving in the morning. Temperatures will reach 19 degrees Celsius, but it will feel a lot cooler than that given the overcast and damp conditions.

A slight improvement is anticipated on Saturday. Final practice should remain dry in the morning, but cloud will build readily from the west and there is a high chance of showers affecting the qualifying session and the GP2 race. Temperatures could reach 20 degrees in the afternoon, but that only increases the chance of a shower or two to spice up the action.

By Sunday, the low will have weakened dramatically as it moves away, pushed on by advancing high pressure from the south west. Conditions at Silverstone will improve, with much reduced potential for showers in the atmosphere. Race morning will start dry with some sunny spells, but towards the afternoon there will be a build-up of cloud and just a slight risk of a sharp shower by mid-afternoon.

Temperatures will begin to climb once again - mirroring the weather at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last weekend - with a maximum of 21 Celsius during the race.

I almost don't bother watching F1 anymore, even the though the races have been exciting, is there nothing going on around the point lead :( Probably going to watch the start and a few laps if Vettel takes a big gap early.
