For the 3rd time in 4 races, we're back on the Mediterranen coast, where the sun always shines, the women are glamorous and Sebastian Vettel wins. However whilst Barcelona has nice mountains in the background and Monaco is incomparable, except probably many other less famous places along the French Riveira, Valencia has all the glamour of an industrial shipping port.

With tarmac run-offs everywhere you really need to get it wrong, like misjudging your braking by about 100 yards wrong and flying over the back of your opponent to actually hit anything.

Unfortunately, I struggle to think of anything Spanish that could be made into a pun, so instead of debating whether it will be dry or not because let's face it, it's Spain in late-June, how about you try and come up with a better title than me.

Best race thread ever....

As much as it's tempting to say "race will suck...shit track", this year everything is up in the air again when it comes to predicting how exciting the racing will be.

The track is still largely crappy but if someone's tyres are going off and they're able to hold up others, Monaco style, it could be great.

I doubt it'll be the best GP of the year, but it could well be the best race this stupid little track has ever had!

I think Ryan86 should from now on be the official 'opener' of F1 race threads.

Are there any major circuit changes this year?

With KERS, DRS and the Pirelli's this race could be pretty good

I'm expecting eventful race, since virtually no race has been dreadful to follow this year. Thanks to the KERS and DRS, it's right to assume the best race that Valencia has produced so far (given that doesn't require very much).

Barcelona used to be boring, it still was this year. I expect the same for Valencia and Hungaroring.

Dont be surprised if this race is going to be exciting. I'm guessing tyre wear will be quite at large with the characteristics of the track. Plenty of places to pass as well with DRS in use.

They have made it better over the years as they painted the walls blue and added some green by the run-offs. But to make it better, they should stick some gravel in at the end of the straights and put a few more trees in. Then it would appear much better

Who cares about the scenery?

The Shanghai International Circuit is a concrete mass of meh in a near permanent state of being enshrouded in smog but given the races there the past three years I think that's the last thing anyone cares about it :p
