Replace Homestead with Mt. Panorama, and have them race 1000 km.

What the hell, I really thought Harvick was on his way to a Top 3 after that yellow. Instead he falls out of the Top 5 due to Carl? Fuck

I hope NASCAR does something about the rule where you can't push on the last lap, yet this is the 2nd time you've seen Harvick get pushed around by his teammates under yellow. Granted, it didn't make any difference in this race due to the yellows, but that needs to go away.

Something to the extent of "driver must maintain speed under own power".

You know, that's an even bigger test of endurance. I'd go with it.

It wasn't really that bad. He restarted sixth and finished seventh. Given the way he ran for most of the race, seventh is fantastic.

It does if you're Travis Kvapil. That was a strategy failure right there. 1st to last in about 2 laps.

According to Jayski, they are looking into it.

Quote:
With NASCAR already putting word out that it was going to look more closely at cars assisting others, series officials reacted. What I was told was that NASCAR doesn't like this because of the advantage it can provide. Also, this is something not all teams can equally do since not all cars have teammates and thus could be at a disadvantage to a multi-car team. In a way, Harvick can say there's no rule that prohibits it. NASCAR can also say that it adjusts things as it goes and this is one of them. What would seem to be the best situation is for NASCAR to write a rule that either prohibits a car pushing another or provide further guidelines on when it is acceptable and when it is not. Don't be surprised if there's a new rule on this in next year's rule book.(Virginian Pilot)(10-10-2011)
