(off topic: Tomorrowland is also, apart from the musical experience, just one big fairy tale due to the incredible work the organisation puts in the show and the surroundings, one of the reasons why I like it so much => mainstage last year: http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6026/5967 ... 8334_z.jpg)

I believe Spa has a maximum of 75, for it still to be deemed "safe". At least that's what I remember from last year, when there were also messages of 80 entrants.

There will be a Trophy given to the best teams in 24H Nürburgring and 24H Spa combined. Kinda like a double crown.

The tv angles hasn't showed anything of how the crash really started, according to some informations, he had a tyre burst in the straight and it caused the crash, but not an official information yet

This has now been confirmed, in addition to this he has a punctured lung and is in intensive care.

Here's some information from his brother, Jörg Bergmeister...

"update on Tim: Tims condition has stabelized. He has severe lung injuries and the doctors are trying to safe his left lung while the right side is in much better shape. within the next 2 weeks we will know how it goes. His brokes bones are no issue right now and the good thing is there are no head injuries nor damage to the spinal cord. Please keep your fingers crossed for him. Thank you for all the messages. I will keep you updated. Jörg"

He was very unlucky in this crash, he crashed in the most dangerous guard rail angle of the straight. It could have been so much worse, the impact was terrible in the side of the driver, thank God he didn't suffered any serious brain injury after that. A lung injury can be dangerous, but I'm sure he will fully recover, and we will see him driving again sometime soon. My best wishes to the fully recovering of Tim Bergmeister.

PS: As soon as I have any news (which I hope and I'm sure will be good ones), I'll post here.

Update on Tim: the doctors performed surgery today on Tim´s chest cage to stabilize it. The surgery went well and in the next couple of days they will wake him up and try to get him of the respirator. Today was another step in the right direction, so please keep your fingers crossed and hopefully he will continue to get better. Thank you and I will post more updates in the next days. Jörg

Monday

this morning my brother tried to tell us something.. so we gave him a pen and paper and the first word that he wrote was: LAGUNA.. so i guess I have no choice but go to Laguna tomorrow night. today the doctors took him off the respirator and he is talking. he is in a lot of pain from 14 broken ribs and all his other broken bones. there are still a lot of things that can go wrong, but he made a very big step! Thank you everyone for keeping him in your thoughts and prayers . Jörg

Today

And Tim Bergmeister has posted an update about his condition himself:

Quote:
Just a short update on my recovery: my lung is nearly working completely again and I will have another surgery on my collar bone next week. The 14 ribs will heal by themselve as my three lower vertebra and my both bladebones will :-) So I am fit and racing soon again! ;-) And thanks again for all the nice wishes and kind words I got during the last days! It´s hard to reply everybody but hope it´s ok I do it this way!? Take care!

Awesome :)
