I would.... but I moved to Charlotte in April. Maybe if I'm up there for a visit.

Things are setting up for another highly, highly embarrassing weekend for NASCAR. Rain expected Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. There will be backlash, finger pointing, joking, and ridicule (rightfully deserved) if NASCAR has to postpone two ROAD COURSE races due to rain...

I should also point out that there are no "off" weekends between now and the end of the season. If it rains Sunday and Monday, which seems somewhat likely (70% chance both days), NASCAR would have to have their chase finale at Watkins Glen. Or else cancel the race entirely.... Watkins Glen might be pretty cold on November 27th.

NASCAR is the biggest management joke in all of sports.

All because they're too cheap to make rain tyres.

Oh yeaa, wasn't the excuse last year that it would be unfair if it costs driver a spot in the chase?

How does the weather look for Tuesday? They ran the spring MIS race on a Tuesday a couple of seasons ago (2008?), and it's not like Michigan/Montreal are too-too far from Watkins Glen.

The weather looks good on Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 77.

Dammit, I knew that. Kahne won that race, because I was there for the spring race in 2008.

If they put the Glen at the end of the schedule, they would need to put snow tires on the cars.

If it rains, they'll run Tuesday as they simply have no other realistic choice. Or fight like hell to get it in Sun/Mon with the known probability that it's a race to half way.

No, they can't. There aren't rain tires developed for the CoT.
