Well holy shit, Kasey's testicles dropped. Welcome to adulthood, son.

There's always luck involved in winning races.. Menard wasn't slow by any means, he was running good lap times when in the lead earlier before Kenseth bumped him out of the way.

Menard has been running great the whole season and would have won a race either way, be it Indy or not Indy. That's my 2 cents.

Overall I give the race a generous 7/10... higher than I would due to a first time winner

At first, I was with Starlancer, I was like...

But then he couldn't even do donuts on the front straightaway and so I...

And then I started thinking about this guy:

And I was like...

Then I remembered how ESPN called the half spin of the day "the big one."

Coming from a NASCAR writer, this is harsh

This bit made me laugh the most:

With events like the ones they propose for next year, they could fire a cannon of any kind into the grandstands and not hit anybody.

I enjoy an article ripping on NASCAR as much as anyone, but that's a pretty lame argument. Be nice if he attempted to explain how a track as big as Indy is meant to survive on 1 race a year with no sponsorship. Dude's stuck in 1960.

Not to mention IndyCar has fallen so far off the map that the IMS needs NASCAR more than NASCAR needs them.

And that's why NASCAR's fucking around, to take the Hulmans to the brink of disaster.

I love how he criticized the race for being decided on fuel mileage when many of the recent Indy 500s have been the same way in the closing laps.
