hey guys i thought practice was on @ 1130am on speed. ?

Rain delayed according to NASCAR.com. Weather is awful here in Louisville right now (extremely dark clouds overhead), and I bet it's much the same at the track.

Well, there's no way he can win starting from the back of the field...

Prepare for another "KYLE BUSCH OVERCOMING THE ODDS!" wankfest from Marty Reid and company.

looks like qualifying might be rained out. they were explaining the new 'making it on practice speeds' rule but somehow mikey wont make it even tho his practice speed was good enough or something. i dont know, i wasnt really listening.

Cup qualifying has been canceled. :(

Feel terrible for Mikey not making the field.

tl;dr version of the rules discussion: they're shitty rules (which change every week this year it seems). The current rules say if you aren't already somehow in the 43 cars that would start even if practice and qualifying were all rained out, you can't make it in just based on practice speeds -- you have to qualify and there must be a full qualifying session to accomodate tha. You're screwed no matter what if qualifying is rained out.

Let's go with oh, I don't know, the fastest 38 cars and then give out some sort of points reward for teams, and fill the rest of the field with those spots.

Sod the 43 car starting limit and just let them all race.

Apparently he's never made a start at Kentucky.

The racing since the restart has been pretty awesome. (Of course now that I say that, I've probably jinxed it and it'll get boring as hell for 50 laps...)

Big-ish hit to the inside wall at the end of the backstretch for Shepherd.
