Texas Motor Speedway (1.5 mi, 24º banking) hosts the first twin race event in IndyCar competition since 1981, when a CART sactioned event saw Rick Mears winning both races in Atlanta.

The grid for the first race will be set by qualifying, while for the second will be by a blind draw. An hour break between both races will give the teams a chance to work on their cars or even rebuild it if they were involved in an incident.

If anyone crashes big time in Race 1, they're probably not getting it fixed for Race 2.

Sky Sports is showing it live from 1.30am - 4.30. Is that going to be enough time to cover it?

They've timed this well actually. It'll give us something to do when all the cameramen go to sleep at Le Mans.

Half points for each, I thought. So full points if you finish in same position both races.
