In Monaco Mercedes had most difficulties with the tyres, so they need to fix that before they can make real improvement.

Back from the open house day. I saw Webber, Kovalainen, Chandhok, GLock and d'Ambrosio. I saw RIchard Connell in the HRT garage, but Lotus were firing an engine, so couldn't shout loud enough to attract his attention :(

I saw you and.. Vettel, Webber (I said to him good luck and he said "thanks mate" :D ), Alonso, Massa, Rosberg, Schumacher, Heidfeld, Glock, Sutil, Kovaleinen, Chandock, Collin Kolles and Goeff Willis. So a lot of people! That was great :)

Can we have a dry race here and save the rain for Valencia/Hungary?

No, those races are contractually obligated to suck.

And RAIN

Quote:
Thursday will end well with clearing skies, lower humidity levels and cooler temperatures, setting us up for a bright and sunny Friday with little in the way of cloud around and two dry sessions. A decrease in temperature will be a theme over the weekend and the gauge will reach 22 degrees during second practice.

Saturday's rain is a big talking point, but it will be dry and mainly sunny to start with for final practice, with just a few clouds around. Cloud will begin to roll in from the west rather quickly between the two sessions and the latest prognosis is that the rain may just reach the circuit by the end of qualifying. It is very much a moving target and we will be keeping a close eye on this over the next 48 hours. Temperatures will continue to slide, with a maximum of 19 or 20 Celsius as conditions take a turn for the worse.

Saturday night is set to be very wet, with a period of heavy rain through to the early hours of Sunday morning. It will reduce to showers by dawn, but these are expected to be frequent, lasting throughout the day. A wet race is on the cards from current forecasts, with temperatures peaking at just 18 degrees Celsius.

Big changes on the horizon as far as the weather is concerned, but will the pecking order shift as a result? Join us for all the practice action, starting with the Friday morning session at 13:50 GMT. We will take a further look at the potential rain on this page a few hours after the end of second practice.

RAIN ?!

Ian Ferguson from the BBC on twitter wrote:
MONTREAL: Latest model output remains consistent in bringing rain into Montreal thro Sunday, some heavy. Wet race looks increasingly likely.

Wouldn't rain mean the DRS is disabled ?
That would be a shame as we couldn't see if it would actually work with the two zones or just massively fail as expected.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Forecast is really gonna mess with the weekend then. Teams arrived in Canada knowing that the tyres were going to be a joke, but now practice info will be useless because of Sunday's rain. And it might rain in qualifying and might not.

Also, Belgium has six new drivers this weekend as the pit boards above the garages have the German colours mixed up. Oops.
