The Sprint Cup Series heads off to Kansas Speedway, along with the Trucks. I would make a clever reference to "The Wizard of Oz" like the networks always seem to do, but that would be retarded. Meanwhile, the Nationwide and ARCA series travel to Chicagoland.

Cup: STP 400 - Sunday @ 1pm ET on FOX
Trucks: O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 - Saturday @ 2pm ET on SPEED

Nationwide: STP 300 - Saturday @ 8pm ET on ESPN
ARCA: Messina Animal Stopper 150 - Saturday @ 5pm ET (airs @ 11pm ET on SPEED)

ARCA and the trucks always put on a good show at these tracks, whereas Cup and Nationwide blow (although Nationwide races are now expected to suck every weekend). I still don't understand how Kansas earned a second date on the schedule.

Quote:
Gibbs withdraws points-leading car at Chicago: Joe Gibbs Racing on Wednesday morning withdrew its No. 20 Toyota entry from Saturday's STP 300 at Chicagoland Speedway, despite that car's 15-point lead in the Nationwide Series owners' points.

Gibbs also has the second-place car in the Nationwide owners' points, the No. 18 Toyota that has been primarily driven this season by Kyle Busch, who has five Nationwide victories in 11 starts. That car has eight top-five finishes and 10 top-10s in 13 races...

Gibbs' withdrawal of the 20, plus the withdrawal of a second No. 04 Ford fielded by Go Green Racing, left the Nationwide event with a "short field" of only 42 cars for the mandated 43-car starting lineup.

Welp, one less Cup guy in the field. Perhaps another Nationwide regular winning?

Dunno, but Bayne was fastest in NNS practice, so at least he hasn't forgot how to race these cars.

From what they are saying in qualifying is that Kurt Busch spun off turn 4 in final practice.

Didn't realize Kyle's win at Talladega last fall tied the closest finish in NASCAR history at .002 sec.

Also, this adds to the worst year of national anthems ever.

This race would be so much better without the 2 truck.

There's been some good racing throughout the pack, they just aren't really bothering to show much of it.

Shane Sieg retaliation fail.

Clint Bowyer just got shuffled to mid pack on this set of pit stops, but with 4 fresh tires. This could get interesting.
