I haven't got the volume on so no idea how long it had been since the caution came out, if they were catching up then yeah, you don't exactly expect someone to do that lol

And the NASCAR license approval process strikes again.

In and of itself, it's a stupid move that's all their fault. In the bigger picture of things, it's something that never should have happened because Kennedy never should have been approved to be in that car to do that in the race in the first place.

From the angle Kennedy was sitting, I wonder if he just didn't spot the white 16 with the white backdrop of the wall. Still seems like he shouldn't have had trouble spotting him, but that's my only thought. Still should have gotten some more help from his spotter.

I don't think you can see much out of the right side, you're completely dependant on your spotter.

That wreck still reminds me of a NCTS race at South Boston from 2001, where someone crashed and pulled right up into Jack Sprague.

that's what the spotters supposed to do, no way he can turn his head to look up the road with all that safety seat stuff in the car.

Kennedy said he was trying to get back going, but he didn't realize how badly the car was damaged, and it wouldn't turn. Really? You expected it to drive well after hitting the wall that hard??? :yuk:

Basically he said his car turned..then it didn't turn as much as he wanted and it went straight..which looks like BS to me.

That's a good point. After that crazy move I had already forgotton that his initial wreck was pretty heavy.

Still seems like it should be common sense that if the car isn't turning you should just gas it up and spin in it in the direction you need. Still would have been ill-advised in that position but it would have been the better option that to just keep carrying on with depleted steering ability.

Usual driver excuse. Seen drivers pull dumber moves with more experience.

Also lucky the safety truck was coming from behind the accident when they collided.

It's only going to get worse with the way things are going in Nationwide. Cash trumps experience and competency in order to pay the bills.

I'm not saying he's blameless for it at all, but there's no reason he should have been in this race to begin with.
