Hell of an interesting top five there. Not a Penske or Ganassi car in sight.

From the seats I couldn't tell, but didn't the track go yellow after he hit the wall? if that would've happened, wouldn't JR have won it because of the caution and having to maintain position?

Either way, this was fantastic as a storyline and we were gutted for Baguette when he pitted. JR Hildebrand will have his chance again.

To be fair I thought the majority of the race was average. But the final dozen laps... wow.

For me it get's HI when Servia took the leader... It was incredible. First Catalan to be leader in the Indy500 history and the first to finish in top10 after 1997 Fermi Velez (RIP) finished in 11th

Epic DUMBASS move by the rookie. Uneffing believable you WRECK passing a lapped car in the last turn of the last lap with an EASY lead WTF!!!!!

What an ugly car in Victory Lane. Ive heard of Dan before, but now he sucks so bad he cant get a full time ride? I only watch Indy for the 500 race.

Quote:
I'll say it again EPIC EFFING FAIL!!! Lift a bit off the gas you efftard rookie, he had a HUGE lead by Indy car standards. He'll never get a chance like that again, Im calling it right now.

Hildebrand =The new name of CHOKE

"He pulled a Hildebrand, I cant believe it!!" will be said for the next century of racing.

Just saw a post on twitter that says that mistake cost Hildebrand/his team $1.5m in prize money. Ouch.

Indy doesn't give you a second chance. You have to earn it.

When was the last time as non-regular driver in the series won? Apart from split years when CART guys Montoya and Castroneves won there.

I dont think it officially did go yellow. The starter wasnt waving the Yellow flag, but I thought I saw the yellow lights go on. I dont remember for sure, either way, Hilldebrand didnt deserve to win when you make a mistake like that.

Undoubtfuly the biggest choke in the history of this race. Forget Guerrero stalling in '87. This was even more in the bank then Guerrero's.

Track went yellow after Wheldon passed him. Wheldon wins either way.

According to the PA, they are reviewing it.

Shout out to Tomas Scheckter finishing 8th.

The yellow flag began waving pretty much right as Wheldon crossed the line.

The publicity for Indycars would have been huge had Hildebrand won, rookie American winning biggest race in the series

It's sad to know Hildebrand could forever be associated with the term "rookie mistake".
