They do have a backup car, PT's ride from Long Beach, but considering the problems Penske and HVM have had putting their backups up to speed, I don't think they would be able to qualify it today, without any practice. They could still try though.

Looks like AA have found some speed by taking the 'Special bit' (Anyone heard what that bit actually was?) off the cars.

Danica doing low 225's/high 224's in clear air with Marco & Ryan doing mid 224's. Conway however still looks like he's struggling as he's doing high 222's.

BTW, If drivers who qualified yesterday can be bumped (I've read conflicting things about that) then the slower 2-3 from yesterday may not be safe.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

I can see at least one more spin and crash during bump day, by some desperate driver with a car as slick as possible.

Speed probably looked at his guys and said, "told ya it was too loose," after that crash. I'm assuming Carpentier is okay?

Yes, he is.

Jacques Lazier has been seen hanging out in Foyt's garage. Maybe AJ thinks that with both Dragon cars out of the picture he can get a third car in the field?
