If she could be bumped tomorrow, what's the point of a 'top 24' in the first place?

Being in the top 24, she already has an official time. She can choose not to run tomorrow and if no one goes faster, she's on the field. From 25 down, they have to make an attempt on bump day.

Unless there has been a rule change, my understanding is also that the top 24 are locked in and Simona is in. Check last year's grid. Bruno put in a time that was faster than Baguette in 24th on Bump Day but started 25th regardless of that

Fingers crossed for Tagliani and SSM now

I only see that bubble rule on Wikipedia not on the Indycar site. I'll go with the Indycar site in this regard.

haha looked like a truck race behind Mario just then!

From what he says though, sounds like Johns run has given an indication to the rest of the AA cars on what needs to be improved.

Ho-Pin Tung is concussed and not cleared to race. First DNF for you, unless Dragon gets another driver for Bump day.

I quoted that from IndyCar tweet feed. Who wrote it actually corrected himself, as he wrote earlier that all top-24 were locked in.

I'm confused.
