The only driver yet to complete the ROP is James Jakes. Hinchcliffe, Kimball, Mann, Tung, Speed and Hildebrand they all completed the four phases.

Yeaa, he failed it twice as well.

Yet even Milka Duno could pass.

Exactly.

Also there was a rumor going around of a third Foyt car with a Tony Stewart Racing partnership.

Am I the only one who thinks AJ Foyt is just as big of a prick as Donald Trump?

Donald Trump is a bit of an extreme comparison but I also get the impression that he's quite the asshole. I respect what he's done and I don't hate him, but he does often come off as a cranky old cuss these days.

Anyone knows if there will be streaming from stuff that's not shown on tv?

Practice starts tomorrow at noon local.

And this is the list of channels that will show the race all over the world, for those who don't know yet if they have coverage: http://www.indycar.com:8080/var/assets/ ... stings.pdf

No. No he is not.

AJ Foyt is a legendary driver. AJ Foyt's temper is also legendary. Seriously, I can find articles referencing AJ Foyt's temper tantrums even in the 1970s.

great!

On another note, I've realized while looking at some results, that there has not been a single 500 from the IRL normally-aspirated era (1997-2010) without at least a couple of drivers that already raced in turbo cars at Indy (CART or 96 IRL), which would repeat this year if at least one of the 3 drivers entered (Tracy, J.Andretti, Hamilton), qualifies for the race.

Ready for some extremely useless data?

1997: 22 drivers (Arie Luyendyk, Scott Goodyear, Buddy Lazier, Tony Stewart, Davey Hamilton, Robbie Buhl, Buzz Calkins, Lyn St.James, Fermin Velez, Mike Groff, Dennis Vitolo, Marco Greco, Johnny Unser, Paul Durant, Jim Guthrie, Eddie Cheever, Eliseo Salazar, Roberto Guerrero, Mark Dismore, Robby Gordon, Stefan Gregoire, Alessandro Zampedri)

1998: 17 drivers (Cheever, Lazier, Hamilton, John Paul, Jr., Greco, Groff, Scott Sharp, Gregoire, Luyendyk, Raul Boesel, Guerrero, Goodyear, J.Unser, Dismore, Guthrie, Buhl, Stewart)

1999: 17 drivers (Gordon, Buhl, Lazier, Stewart, Hamilton, Boesel, Dismore, Cheever, Calkins, Hideki Matsuda, Luyendyk, Guerrero, Goodyear, Sharp, J.Unser, Salazar, Roberto Moreno)

2000: 16 drivers (Lazier, Salazar, Cheever, Gordon, Jimmy Vasser, Gregoire, Goodyear, Sharp, Dismore, Boesel, Calkins, Hamilton, Buhl, Al Unser, Jr., St.James, Ritchie Hearn)

2001: 17 drivers (Gil de Ferran, Michael Andretti, Vasser, Stewart, Salazar, Calkins, Luyendyk, Buhl, Dismore, Lazier, Gordon, Hamilton, Cheever, Gregoire, A.Unser, Goodyear, Sharp)

2002: 14 drivers (Paul Tracy, Cheever, Hearn, M. Andretti, Gordon, de Ferran, A. Unser, Luyendyk, Lazier, Buhl, Boesel, Sharp, Vasser, Dismore)

2003: 9 drivers (de Ferran, A.Unser, Sharp, Lazier, Gordon, Buhl, Vasser, M.Andretti, Hearn)

2004: 7 drivers (Bryan Herta, Adrian Fernandez, Sharp, A. Unser, Hearn, Lazier, Gordon)

2005: 5 drivers (Herta, Lazier, Sharp, Fernandez, Hearn)

2006: 8 drivers (M. Andretti, Sharp, Lazier, Cheever, Herta, A.Unser, Luyendyk, Gregoire)

2007: 8 drivers (Sharp, Hamilton, M.Andretti, Lazier, Hearn, A.Unser, John Andretti, Roberto Moreno)

2008: 3 drivers (Hamilton, J.Andretti, Lazier)

2009: 4 drivers (Tracy, Sharp, J.Andretti, Hamilton)

2010: 2 drivers (J.Andretti, Hamilton)

What about those that raced in Champ Cars from past '96? They ran turbos too.
