Sod that, the F1 circus has destroyed enough classic tracks with their ridiculous 'safety' requirements already. Leave Le Mans alone. Let today's whining F1 drivers go and race on the salt flats, they can just mark out a different circuit each weekend.

I detest tarmac runoff. It only leads to poor driving standards as drivers know they can afford to run wide or take big risks, and said drivers can then rejoin the track with no penalty for their mistakes.

I hope you're just being sarcastic too!

I do agree with you, but with an area like that something has to be done. We were pretty much a hair from seeing a multi fatal accident. A car could go off at the very same place with the exact outcome by just blowing a tire.

that is not real racing

don't kill one of the last real racing events

I'm hoping that rallyman has his sarcasm turned up this morning.

excuse me, it's right I went to the Paul Ricard track and this track is ugly now with the tarmac areas
at Monza and Spa, they have done it in a few turns and it's not horrible

btw Le Mans is my favorite track :D

Agreed. I don't think it's the crash itself that's caused the most reaction. I think it's the danger those photographers and marshals were put under that has caused most reaction.

There's already plenty of that shit at Le Mans. As a spectator you can't see anything but that, and it's a photographer's nightmare. I don't know what the ACO will chose to do now.

Maybe, but it's better than crap pelting someone, and better than a paved area.
