That was a decent accident, doubt we will see photographers there next year!

I just can't believe that the car did not bounce over the barrier and land on one of the photographers or track marshals there.

Anthony Beltoise seemed VERY upset, and rightfully so.

Understandable, but he is completely blameless. He was doing what he was supposed to do, and McNish bulldozed in.

So lucky no-one got hit by that bouncing rear wheel... it flew high in the air, hit the barrier, bounced to the catchfencing and back again!

I don't think you can really blame either driver here. The #2 being in the middle would have blinded the Ferrari from the #3, which is something the faster driver will never really think about. Had the #2 not been there, the Ferrari would have stayed left and he would have went through fine. It was an extremely unlucky multi-class accident.

The photographer in this screencap, buckled over holding the camera is a mate of mine. Pete May, he just got missed by the rear wing. :-\

Eurosport mentioned him. He had said that everyone had been sprayed by debris, but no injuries.

I'm hoping that rallyman has his sarcasm turned up this morning.

I was rooting for the #3 car because I like Alan. With that said, this one is his fault. The Ferrari never saw him and turned in like he normally would. The onboard from the trailing Audi show pretty clearly that the Ferrari was blinded. Terrible, terrible crash. Could've been so much worse but thank God it wasn't. The spectators were pretty well protected. They're elevated, behind a concrete wall with a good catch fence. Leaving the marshalls and photographers exposed like that, while stupid, I don't see as a major issue really. I know that statement itself might seem dumb, but if you stand there, you know the risk.

And please SPEED, take the microphone from Scott Pruett. He disagrees with everyone just for the sake of doing it.

Yeah the graphics said 16:40 too, so there's obviously been a lack of communication somewhere :p
