Pablo Elizalde was the best to explain it:

Quote:
I'm going to be a cynic here and say that GP2 returning to Abu Dhabi is not quite a merger, but just GP2 Asia dying.

It had got pretty pathetic really, especially since they abandoned East Asia completely.

And after all the bitching I did last weekend when BE managed to completely ignore Auto GP, this week it is GP2's turn to be completely ignored on British Eurosport.

Well, the Feature race gets an hour highlight on Saturday, but no sign of the Sprint race on Sunday AT ALL :(

It's time they either found another channel or did a deal with Motors TV

You're lucky enough to have Eurosport broadcasting GP2. ES International only broadcasts GP3.

ES Denmark doesn't broadcast any GP2-3 or F1...
Viasat Sport shows only F1, but that's with 1 hour warmup and 30 minute after show, with loads of commercials :(

ES france on sunday shows "always" from 9:00:GP3 race 1
9:25: GP3 race 2 live
10:00:GP2 race 1 highlights
10:35:GP2 race 2 live

For hungary they will show GP2 and Gp3 feature race live,GP3 sprint race live but GP2 sprint race delayed.

FFS, I'm no longer surprised those cocks are only showing butchered highlights of the Saturday race, but no Sunday race?!

How on earth are the teams, drivers and sponsors content with Euroshit's treatment of GP2? Surely they can use their influence to ensure it gets on a channel that can actually be bothered to show it?

What I can never understand is that, as with Auto GP, if BE have got clashing stuff like British Superbikes, surely ANY other channel would ensure delayed coverage is shown. :x

Adam Carroll replaces Luca Filippi in Super Nova while Filippi goes to Coloni to replace Kevin Ceccon who has been replacing Davide Rigon for a while now.

Good to see Adam popping up in single seaters again. Hopefully he'll have a strong showing. At 28 years old he's probably running out of time to get into F1.

He's a good driver. Hope he can get a seat in a good series next year. Or at least a full season Super Leauge, if that survives.

Pic on pole with Filippi in the front row. Grosjean and Bianchi on row 2. Other notables include van der Garde 5th, Gutierrez 8th and Bird 11th.

Hope for mixed conditions tomorrow, can't wait for the race. Could be fun. Nurburgring produces good races in lower series, remember WSR?
