Just watched Blu-ray version of the movie, great movie/documentary.

I have no shame in telling that quite some tears were shed during the ending. The funeral scene with the focus on his relatives/friends combined with flashbacks to all the stuf that happened involving those persons in the previous years, it just hit me. Brilliant.

Yes, Imola-part of the movie and that funeral scene was very emotional.

Quite a downside almost nothing was mentioned about the karting world cups with the Parillas(?), the F3 Macau race and the F3 season in general with Brundle. And why no mention about Bellof at Monaco?

Or Nurburgring 1984

They couldn't make a 4h film

Got the Blu-ray version and it was worth every cent. As mentioned, I don't usually get emotional especially during movies but the Imola part and subsequent funeral footage definitely had me choked up.

Bought the Blu-ray last week and finally had the time to watch it yesterday. Lovely piece of movie and very interesting for any racing fan.

The extras offer about 1 hour of interviews. Are those the same interviews, which are included in the extended cut? Didn't see the extended cut or the extras yet.

The interviews are not played from start to finish, clips are played according to the story. Not sure now, but i don't think they repeat what is said in the normal version.

Alright, thanks for the info, that sounds promising. Hopefully I'll find some time to watch the interviews next week. :)

Got the bluray for xmas. The extended version is interesting, but they've basically wedged new interview footage between the film's existing scenes. So the film's soundtrack often suddenly vanishes when these interviews come on, and generally the whole flow of the movie isn't as good. Cinema version of the film (which of course also comes on the bluray) is still the best IMO.

That's my opinion too. But the extended version should be watched too imo because the interviews are very interesting. They just don't fit 100% perfect.
