Might as well make this the permnant thread since the race threads only get like four or five posts.

Anyway, the Six Hours at the Glen is tomorrow and on the front row is the usual suspects on the front row with Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas on pole, setting a new track record at 1:40.562. Jon Fogarty and Alex Gurney with super special guest driver Jimmie Johnson starting next to them on the front row. Team Suntrust who won at Lime Rock on Monday will start from sixth.

Starting Lineup

Speed Channel will have coverage of the race starting at 2 pm eastern break away for the ARCA race and then come back at 6 pm for the finish. I think they mentioned showing the off hours on Speedtv.com, but I'm not sure.

That makes sense why ONE HD are showing it in 2 parts, cause they get the live coverage from Speed.

Unfortunately they're showing athletics in the break.

The new paved runoff at the bus stop is ugly as hell.

So, you would rather see half the race run under caution then because someone can't get their car out of the gravel trap?

I'd rather not see the track get butchered..The new safer barrier in the final corner isnt exactly good looking either.

Complaining about tarmac run off I understand. But SAFER Barriers are now a bad thing?

GTFO.

I didnt say they were a bad thing..I said they didnt look great where they are posistioned. Im sure they are better for safety than the tires they had there.

btw, its starting to rain.

They predicted a 10% chance of rain this weekend and there's dark clouds everywhere with it pretty much spitting now...

If only F1 could ride those odds...

Also, rain showers at the Glen......been there before! :8:

Does anyone remember that year when basically EVERYONE crashed coming into the final corner. That was insane.

The 77 spun, the 90 Coyote has spun twice, and the 40 Mazda has been off.

Pruett/Rojas take the overall win, Pruett's fourth victory in the six hours, the most ever. Lally/Pumplley get the win in GT.
