Brilliant race!

That traffic just did for the Gainsco car to win. Plus Brit Robin Liddell wins GT

Good end. I bitched about the stream but all I needed to do was to get my ass off the chair, walk 10 steps into the nearest TV.

Was at the track all three days of this one. All I can remember is the unremitting heat, lol. The Camaros were in a class of their own for most of the day and the Kaufman Ferrari was the worst driven piece of garbage I've ever seen at this level - it seemed to be deliberately getting in the way of absolutely everyone and smacked into the side of a DP right in front of us when we wandered over to the outside of the chicane. It also seems to be 20mph slower than every other GT in the fast bits and is as quiet as a diesel Jetta for no apparent reason. The DPs look a lot better than they used to though it was interesting watching the two "old style" ones fighting for most of the day.

Finally, the Continental Tire race on Saturday was a complete bust - can't have been much more than 30 minutes of racing in amongst the endless cautions. The Nissan 370z got smashed by an orange BMW that spun and then just rejoined the track without even looking and drove straight into it just down the road from where we were standing.

Much bigger crowd than last year - the fan walks were a huge sea of humanity.

Mr Kaufman must have quite a lot of money to be allowed to race. Him and Tracy Krohn bring nothing to the series they run in and only get in the way. I'm all for gentleman drivers at Le Mans, but can we find some with common sense?

Plenty of gentlemen drivers out there with sense, just a shame that those that don't are the ones that get the attention.

How did the #74 Honda in ST do? My friend Andrew starts the car and hands it over to Adam Burrows to finish the race. Andrew won't tell me how they do, he makes me watch on TV. Lol.

Did pretty well - finished 5th in class. Which is lucky for him cos the other 3 C360 Civics had a terrible race, lol.

Here's my photos of the weekend - should be a public gallery:

Grand-Am has taken a page out of ALMS' book and have started putting up full race broadcast on their website
