So yeah, this is on this weekend. It was news to me too!

There's about 15 cars so far this weekend, and not all of them are in the same class..hmmm
Still, the same could've been said about the ETC cup race last year (when it was just one race, not a series) and it ended up being pretty decent...so who knows.

The race is taking place in Braga (?) and apparently James Thompson is on Pole (yay!)

Eurosport are showing this tomorrow, but judging from the times of the broadcast (4:30pm on Eurosport 2 with race 2 straight after, 30 mins each) I doubt they're showing it live.

Thommo's going to wipe the floor with everyone in this series.

Since its more than one race now doesnt it count as a championship? Hence a series of cups?

If I knew more details than just having the thing landed on me when I read the TV schedules, I would've added them to the thread title too

The other rounds will be at Salzburgring (25th July) & Franciacorta (17th October). Oschersleben was cancelled.

I liked the single round at the end of the year.

Good race so far, Poulson attacking Thompson for the lead atm...

WoW what a great race, bit of a shame Poulson couldn't attack Thompson again, he was faster all race long. Just good teamwork by Honda.

First race was pretty good, second race was dull though from what I could tell, I only had it on in the background.

Yeaa shame the second race wasn't as good.

The second race was more exciting at the start, but because most of the incidents ended in someone being punted off it meant the field got a bit thin by the end.

Loved the second Honda two wheeling over the chicane and only being saved from a flip by resting on the Chevy it was trying to pass and causing it to go off....

Overall a good event though

I agree, was some good racing during the event (one of the great things about Eurosport being shown in Australia these days, we get to see stuff like this)

I like the idea of the championship, hopefully next year they build on the three rounds of this year.

Anyone knows anything about Thommo progress in getting a competitive seat for reminder of ETCC season? I read he's looking for a drive but no news since, I'd love to see him back for Oschersleben!
