Wonder if it's for the sole purpose of getting that Daytona win? That's really the only thing he hasn't accomplished. The Venturini cars are almost always are a threat at the plate tracks.

Supposedly his wife has been wanting him to cut back for a few years now, and with Menards not ponying up as much $$$ for sponsorship...

Really the only thing he hasn't done in ARCA is win Daytona, if he can do that he's pretty much done everything. Most wins, most titles, hell, he's won at about every track they've been to in the last 20 years or so.

Today I came across the mother of all ARCA historical finds.

Video footage of the first race in ARCA (or MARC, as it was known then) history. :flag:


There's also footage of several more MARC races from 1953, 1954, 1955 and 1956, and of several NASCAR races from that era, including the 1st Southern 500.

I read that Wayne Peterson's #0 car that James Swanson drives will have an ECR engine in it for Daytona.

I remember a Cup team from about 4 or 5 years ago (I think Joe Falk was involved) working out of a old barn and had an open trailer for a hauler.
