I'm kind of embarrassed to share this, but here's a few laps from a practice session 2 weekends ago. Sliding quite a bit off of turn 4 and spinning in turn one at the end.

Getting there.

I assume you'll be running this Saturday night when the late models are there?

PASS Late Models were great. 18 cars but they put on a great show. Joe Boyd and Joe Doiron were the class of the field. Boyd led the majority of the 200 lap race but after the halfway break, his brakes started to fade and Doiron took the lead for a while. On a late restart Boyd passed him again but Doiron bumped him out of the way with 8 to go and went on to win the race.

And got to meet Robby aka "zippy" Lyons. :p I'll be honest I was surprised you were able to pick me out of the crowd but I'm glad you did. Was awesome talking to you. March 9th will be the next time I'll go out there.

That was definitely a hell of a race considering the car count. Cataldi got a rude introduction lol.

Nice talking to you as well! I'll be out there on the 9th for sure. I think I'll pass on the money race this weekend.

Also will be down at DeSoto Superspeedway on March 2nd.

Racing season finally began in New York this weekend starting with Canandaigua on Friday, was cold with temps starting off at about 40 by race time and dropping down to 32 by the end of the night, so cold that the track reportedly froze over by the last feature. Racing was good though, and it was great being back at the track, but there was one very scary crash during the 305 Sprint Car feature when Steve Doell flipped and was slammed into by another car which shredded the top wing and sent several pieces into the grandstand, including one very large piece that sailed completely over the grandstands. Drivers were ok and fans were as well, but could have been a lot worse, I was down by the finish line and it looked pretty crazy, it looked like an explosion the way the wing disintegrated into shrapnel. Found video of the impact, though it doesn't show it real well, good sound though.

TC got beat up by a girl after wrecking 2/3 of the SK field with 5 to go today at the Speedbowl.

He was running 4th, and turned Nichole Morgillo, who was running third, coming out of two on a restart with 5 to go, at least 15 cars all piled in behind them. The track as completely blocked, so when TC came back around he just had to stop and sit there. Morgillo came over, unclipped his window net and just started swinging at him, it was great.

Yep, and it will, the Speedbowl has a full time video crew there that records all the races from multiple vantage points including cameras in the pits.
