He was pretty far down the inside of the Starworks car there. At what point does it become the first cars fault? #1 Audi wasn't even close to alongside, the #2 was right there.

Hard to say really, I think it's more of a racing incident at this stage

Audi lost this one on pure pace. 10 minutes to go, 6 second gap and rising.

Good to see Toyota win again. :)

It's good to not always see the same winner (Audi). Competition is GOOD (alluding to Vettel in 2011).

They better increase funding/development for 2013, because Toyota already raised the level

I'm very glad with TS030's presence in WEC. The car is fast, beautiful and adds to competition. I just wish Toyota were more fan friendly and would provide things as onboard stream as well as the Audi, though :/

Audi have never turned up with the fastest car. They've always won through efficiency and strategy. The problem they've had is that doesn't work in 6 hour races, and Peugeot, and now Toyota, consistently beat them. But turn up at Le Mans, and despite being the under dog on speed, Audi almost always came out on top.

I expect no different next year. In the 6 hour events, Toyota will be the favourite. In 24 hours, watch Audi do what they do best. But Toyota seem less panicy and...French, than Toyota. So it'll be a tougher challenge for them.

Well the team is run by Oreca.

But agreed. Audi never won on pure speed. 2008 and 2011 as best example (especially 2008 with the R10 was a disgrace for Peugeot).

I dunno if you can say so. About 20 people from Oreca have been integrated to TMG. De Chaunac himself is "competition director".

It doesn't have a camera. It had at Le Mans, but not after that. Ask most competent tv producer ACO why.

Speaking of which:

Yeah, I noticed that. There is no TS030 onboard on WEC's broadcast at all, except at Le Mans where it had. This is utterly stupid tbh. When Peugeot was on the championship, they also provided onboards as Audi.

Btw, China should provide one of the most entertaining races of the calendar, going by F1

Mattzel just retweeted a tweet saying the Deltawing with Gunner Jeannette behind the wheel has apparently flipped in a test today after contact with a GTC car!

He is apparently OK, but where was this test being held? Road Atlanta?

edit: It was at Road Atlanta.

Scary seeing his head so near the ground like that. Hopefully it wasn't as close as the onboard makes it look.

Also, I think the videos prove the Porsche driver was at fault, rather clearly too. Totally contradicts his claim that he had the wheel straight and that he was the one getting hit.

Really don't like the fact his head was bouncing along the ground. Need a better rollhoop on that thing.
