I seriously hope someone can take Audi or Peugeot on the next few years. Toyota would be awesome.

In next couple of years, please.

I'm usually overly optimistic but what comes to Toyota, I believe when I see it. Too many rumours since 2007/2008 considering that nothing has materialized (in terms of factory program).

I think Mulsanne Mike said at ten-tenths that the Rebellion engine delivery is completely separate from this in any case.

Imagine getting Aston and Toyota up with the Audi's and Peugeot's in the next few years :D

I'm guessing Nissan might be doing something too.

Rumours abound that Nissan would enter with the Oreca 02 coupe, already mostly designed but lacking the funding for production. Would be a big coup to get that chassis IMO, as the Oreca 01 was one of the best petrol chassis available.

Deggis, agreed about Toyota. They were supposed to announce back at the end of 2008 or 2009 I think at a Fuji event about a prototype and it never happened. Hopefully this is a better sign and the article forces their hand a bit.

I remember Toyota wanting to get it with a hybrid years ago.. Its probably because of the economic situation why they havent done so yet.

I have just seen the footage of the crash. Definitely the fault of the Lola driver...

And here's the security camera footage...

Couldn't really see the Peugeot though. But it is certainly a sizable accident.

You can't really drive into that gap. That's still mostly the Peugeots fault.

Oreca has withdrawn from Imola. Reason: shortage of spare parts after Le Mans.

Davidson and Bourdais sharing a Peugeot at Imola. That car instantly becomes the most hated car in motorsport history.

The whine from the drivers will be louder then the engine.

That would be amazingly brilliant. The GTS-R was and still is my favourite GT-car EVER. So beautiful, quick and unique-sounding.

On RLM they are having a chat about Pedro Lamy being sacked during the 24 hours of Le Mans for not wanting to block the Audi.

If that's true then that really is pathetic.

Good for Lamy to refuse.

Actually, there might be more to that Lamy-case which could end up to be very surprising! Seems that 'blocking' was not the whole reason, sorry to be vague over here, just keep your eyes open the next weeks/months (can't say more, because if it ends up being totally different I'm fucked)
