Well 'cool' isn't the word I'd use but I understand the sentiment!

What sort of Media Pass?.. if its for Photography you'll need PLI now.. all circuits in the UK are now demanding this

This is good..
Quote:
Dear All,
Snetterton 12 Hour “Day Into Night” Race – 9th and 10th November, 2012
I am delighted to inform you that we have added a “day into night” 12 hour (non-championship) Fun Cup round, to the 2012 calendar. The event will take place on the 9th and 10th November and we will be sharing the circuit with the Mazda championship. This means that we can only accept the first 23 Fun Cup entries. After this, all entries will be placed on a reserve list. Depending on the amount of Mazda’s racing, circumstances may change, which will allow a greater number of Fun Cup starters.

We did the same about 3 or 4 years ago and it worked really well...

Cheers to Marv for the passes for Croft; it was an excellent (if rather chilly) day out.

Shame both the G&T cars had their issues, but 103 created some great tension at the end of the race by causing a safety car letting 2nd place get his lap back then made up a 30 second deficit in about 12 laps or so. Shame he pushed a little too hard and ended up doing the last 3 laps crabbing down the straights after an off.

Well after missing the last round at Snetterton because of my Brisca F1 commitments and a thining of the wallet due to a trip to Le Mans, today i have commited to going to SPA with a team (who i know very well but havent worked with before)
I also have had the offer of a spare space for anyone who has any race team experience, so i have (hopfully) roped in someone from here who lives near me and does a bit on a race car the odd weekend..

so this will be my 6th year doing it, and no i aint bored of it!!

well, its funny how things change..

This years race will start at 5.30pm and will run for 3000km or a maximum of 24hours - thats about 328 laps.

At an average of 3.10s laps that could be just short of 24 hours racing.. depends on weather and safety cars.

This has come about because the previous organiser (Speedworld) went bust owing the Belgian RAC a load of money, so a company called Kronos have taken over, but for some obscure copyright reason they cant call the race a 25hr this year (until all the legal issues are sorted out!)

Anyway.. Ian Wollam (who some of you know) is coming with me as he has previous race mechanic work.. i think he's a bit excitedabout it!
