I know, made me lol too. And he came across as a dick even through ITV's coverage, which was all I watched/got all F1 stuff from back then.

There's a brief radio clip on the 2006 FIA review from the Canadian GP where he's asking about his engine temperature. He sounded like a dick then as well.

Was that 'if I find out my temps are higher than Tonio's... someone's heads gonna roll'

Yes, what a charming attitude he got.

Wait. This is current Lotus, or current Renault?

Stupid name feud.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

It won't be over yet, next year when commentators sees Caterham, they're going to call it Lotus and when they see Lotus Renault, they're going to call it just Renault. If both teams changes their liveries dramatically, that might stop this happening.

I heard a couple of days ago that Barrichello was close to a deal with Renault for next season.

- thanks for the updated JJ Lehto information. I had been wondering recently what was happening with that investigation.

Dave Ryan is back in F1
http://www.f1zone.net/news/dave-ryan-re ... -f1/10504/

Giorgio Ascanelli told Autosport (magazine) that 'I believe they [Buemi and Alguersuari] are complete. They have done what they can and I don't think that after 50 races there is a margin for improvement'

Just through being a pedant, Jaime has started 45 races, Seb 53.

I miss the championship contender Renault team :( If they signed Rubens and Senna I think that would be a great combo, at least until Kubica is ready to return.

Under the name Lotus, I see no need for 2 Brazilian drivers. As Renault maybe but not as Lotus.
However I can see them hire Rubens on a race-by-race contract and Grosjean besides him.
Rubens can be easily ousted if Kubica returns and in the meantime Rubens is happy to stay in F1 and banks on Kubica not coming back any time soon.

Prost and Fittipaldi and Stewart are also icons in the sport, but I don't see them race F1 anymore

Schumacher and Barrichello have had their time. They've achieved the maximum they can. Time now to park up and let someone with a future potential have a go.
