Even Maldonado hasn't managed to cause $25 millon worth of crash damage so far this year. I don't know how ropey William's finances were but they must have been pretty desperate to sign over a race seat to a sponsor's choice for the next few years

Williams is being run as a business venture rather than a grand prix team, as RtN pointed out a few weeks back.

Pastor isn't that bad, the car is though. However, Maldonado has shown impetuosity that has blighted him on occasions and reflected badly on him to those casual viewers, who are only shown what the BBC show them, which - Monaco apart - has been rather negative.

Perhaps thats the feeling behind trying to get Kimi for 2012. However, this feels like Williams' nadir regardless. The car is utterly atrocious, as proved by them scoring just 5 points this season, two x 9th and a 10th.

A better driver wouldn't have scored many more points in that car. Though Maldonado was lying 6th when Hamilton took him out.

That car is properly awful. Sometimes it's good enough to get near the points (but relies on others screwing up and not being there), but half the time it's the worst of the normal cars.

Yet they could've got $25 million more prize money from a better driver (assuming there probably were drivers out there who could've gone out and done well in the Williams and scored way more points than what Pastor has got, safe assumption). Then to add on top of that, they wouldn't have destroyed so many front wings in the process.

Signing Maldonado probably became redundant about 8 races into the season.

A driver like Barrichello perhaps?

Barrichello's definately past his prime, but he's a safe enough pair of hands with enough talent that if the car did have the pace, he'd be bringing it home in the points on a regular basis, as Heidfield was doing in the Renault.

So can someone tell me how big the chances are that FIA banns DRS through 130R corner?
I hope they wont ban it.

Common sense says you don't use DRS through 130R

I don't see why they need to ban it in any corner, if you can't use DRS through it then just don't press the damn button to start with.

If somebody has the balls or the car to use it then I don't see why it should be banned.

Since when F1 is a sport in which you need balls ? Drivers complain every fu**** GP about everything. Last GP it was Button who said the GP is too long and that they should reduce the overall distance, like Monaco. :yuk:
