Maldonado is a hell of a quick driver and if he brings money to the team, even better.

If I were a Williams boss, I would be more than happy to have swapped Hulk with Pastor as the later seems faster and helps financially.

The same could be said about Perez, he's not there because he's only a paydriver. The money he takes with him is a bonus to the great talent he seems to have.

Shit paydrivers in F1 are becoming more and more rare. The only exceptions i can see are Karthikeyan and Yamamoto in recent times.

Maldonado, Perez and Petrov are really quick, they just time to learn the car and mature.

Is it because he's black? Bordering on ridiculous from Lewis. The guy really needs to sort his attitude out.

I think in the context he has a point. I can't imagine many people give two shits about what Villeneuve thinks.

People might be interested in this over here as well. As posted in the Spa 24 Hours thread, some changes have been made to the Bruxelles (Rivage) section at Spa:

Don't really get that change as I don't recall anyone ever going off on the exit of Rivage & hitting where they moved the barrier.

They nearly always lose it on the bump on the entry & end up in the gravel in the middle of the corner, A place where the barriers don't seem to have been moved.

Only accidents on the exit I recall were where cars clipped the kurb on the left & spun back across the track to the right.

Interesting to also note, Tony Fernandes tweeted, that Adam? Parr tried to convince Lotus to stay with Cosworth last year but less than 12 months later they've already jumped ship to Renault.

at that time they probably thought Renault wouldnt supply 4 teams. Convincing Lotus to stick with Cosworth gave them a shot at the Renault engines.

thats my guess however...

Well, the only good thing about the change is that they put gravel on the inside :D

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Lewis is now f1's 2004 Tony Stewart. Wonder if he'll get fat and start his own team, then everyone will love him again.

Do they have too much money on their hands? I don't see the need for a wider gravel trap. Given the speed exciting the hairpin, nobody is going to get all the way to Rivage's exit and shoot across the track.

It doesn't make sense at all. I wish we had access to the reports calling for these changes (like previously at Stavelot 2 exit and La Source), just to see what kind of accident scenario they think is probable at these locations.

Massa would've taken that place had he not oversteered massively coming onto the pit straight.
