Autosport Magazine this week claims that Massa is unhappy at Ferrari and that Nicolas Todt is looking for a way out of the team. Equally, Ferrari isn't happy at Massa's form.

Ferrari interested in Button, Webber or Rosberg for 2012. Could tie in with rumours about Mercedes looking to tie Rosberg down until 2016.

I wonder if any teams would be interested in Massa. He's had some good seasons, but you could argue that Kimi wasn't very motivated and made Massa look better than he really was. You could argue that the accident affected him. You could argue that Alonso is a seriously tough team mate and the other guy is always his number 2. I don't know. I like Massa but he was really poor last season. There have been flashes of pace this season, but Alonso is still way ahead.

Heidfeld has done a reasonable job. Sometimes ahead of Petrov, sometimes not. It's his qualifying that keeps letting him down. That was his problem all throughout 2008. His race pace is usually decent.

I think a new environment/teammate could boost Massa his performance again

Ferrari could offload Felipe to another team inexchange for a discounted or free supply of engines, or a straight driver swap. Say Koba in at Ferrari, Felipe to Sauber.

I don't think Felipe has much to offer any other teams. Realistically his options are limited. There is Renault but they need a driver with guaranteed pace and a bill payer. Maybe MVR if Glock moves on. Or perhaps Force India.

I don't think the situation there is as black and white as the human rights activists say it is but its not wise for F1 to go there this year while tensions are still high.

Gotta love Dany Bahar

Quote:
Following the result of the naming rights court case, is there an update regarding Group Lotus’ F1 involvement?

Dany Bahar: The judgement grants Group Lotus the rights to use the name ‘Lotus’ and the Lotus roundel on their own within F1, we are, therefore, even more committed than ever before to our long term plan within the sport.

“The Judge also found that Team Lotus, run by 1Malaysia Racing Team, has the right to continue to race in F1 under the name Team Lotus and using the Team Lotus roundel.

As a consequence, it is inevitable that the similarity of the names Lotus and Team Lotus will cause confusion not only amongst F1 supporters and the wider public, but also amongst F1 commentators who use the word ‘Lotus’ interchangeably for both teams as demonstrated throughout the season so far.

“With the full support of our parent company, Proton, we are seeking leave to appeal so that this point can be clarified for the benefit of all interested in F1.

“With regards to our involvement with Lotus Renault GP, as Lotus we stand united with Genii Capital and have every confidence in the future success of Lotus Renault GP.”

Not really Dany. Any decent commentator knows that you don't go about calling teams by their sponsor names. Your team is Renault, Tony's is Team Lotus. Its pretty simple. Its why we don't have 'Vodafone' and 'Marlboro' as team names.

Which commentators?

Neither Brundle nor Coulthard have. I haven't heard any of 5Live's roster do that on Fridays. The French?

And, if it does bother you so much, why don't you save a bit of money (because you're going to bloody need it in 2 years' time) and withdraw?

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Funny how that happens just after Bernie states that money will have nothing to do with it going ahead, of course it does.
