Joy for all the rich douchebags ?

Cancel this shit and never come back.

I said in a post previously that Bahrain has always and will always be a government propaganda tool to show case to the world that it has an acceptable form of Islam that is Western friendly. The ongoing saga and desperation surrounding this event have done nothing to allay my feelings, and have in fact lead me to believe that there are far more deeper undercurrents here with Bernie than simply reneging on a contract and paying a financial penalty.

And additional race is better, and Bahrain is few tracks with consecutive long straights. Already a passing track before DRS and KERS. One of the last tracks I'd accept dropping.

Progress by Virgin?

They're trying to work out a deal with McLaren-Mercedes to get engine, transmission, KERS and rear suspension packages from them for 2012.

Honestly, I don't think the legs will be the problem for him

His hand suffered much more nervedamage. Kinda like Nannini. He never was able to race F1 cars again. :(

So Williams might go to Renault. Lotus already running Renault and now Virgin might go to Mercedes. So Cosworth will be stuck with HRT. Doubt any of the other teams opt for them.

What the hell was the point of getting rid of customer cars again?

Given that Qualifying is being ruined by tyre saving this year, they need to look into tyre allocation rules better, even if it means a few extra sets. I don't buy this cost saving rubbish given the teams take fucking cranes to the races to build the motorhomes.

Yeah I agree. This qualifying format, especially Q3 was perhaps the best that I can recall up until the switch to Pirelli's.
Brundle has been spot-on in his recent broadcasts that this tire saving has absolutely ruined the spectacle and the build up of tension in the dieing moments of qualifying. They need to adjust the tire allocation rules and they need to do it in a hurry.

bring back the normal truck-size motorhomes and we easily can fit up to 15 or more teams at most tracks.

Getting rid of those idiotic motorhomes will also save them millions.

You mean the 'media / sponsor centers'? Yeah they're getting pretty ridiculous in scale. They're basically mini-villa's.

I would do 2 things to improve Q3.

Firstly get rid of the rule making the top 10 start on the tyres they qualify on & then I'd give anyone who makes Q3 2 sets of a special 1-lap qualifying tyre which will give a ton of grip but only last 1 lap.

With 2 sets you get 2 runs & we get to see an awesome end to qualifying with the cars at there fastest & the drivers with a ton of grip to push the cars to the limit, Just like qualifying from the 80s/early 90s when we used to have 1-lap, super grippy qualifying tyres.

I wouldn't bother with a qualifying tyre. That is actually quite a lot more money for no real gain. Just give them 2 extra sets of the softest tyre that weekend which cannot be used outside of Q3. The effect will be the same without a significant cost difference.

Who cares about qualifying?

Its the race that counts!

2 additional sets of the Options for use in Q3 only would definitely solve the issue. Pretty easy and inexpensive fix.

Given they have no other resources I can't see that being positive.
