For fucks sake, just let the drivers decide for themselves. If they use it in Eau Rouge and end up in the woods, they've only got themselves to blame.

Why is it banned in Eau Rouge? Because it's a famous corner? Why is it not banned in Pohoun? I'm pretty sure you could have a huge accident there if you activated it.

This is getting out of hand. Turkey was ridiculous was the DRS, and now they are giving us 2 zones that are longer? Come on, reel it back a bit. DRS should be about giving the opportunity to make a pass, not giving you a free position and making the pass for you.

I believe they want to implement it on straights that are close one another. They had the software for Turkey but they wanted to test it first and in Spain there aren't 2 significant straights close to each other.

I guess they want to try how it turns out with the driver that gets passed, being able to fight back almost immediately with the same resource.

Haha, spot on.

It's going to be a mess. Drivers will be out of shape all over the last chicane trying to stay ahead, then again DRS-fest on the straight leading to the T1-T2 combination? I can't wait for this.

It'll be the F1 equivalent to an ARCA race.

Here we go http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/91661
slow teams not making any friends.

"HRT boss Colin Kolles has threatened to launch a protest against the “illegal” use of off-throttle blown diffusers next weekend in Monaco."

Will there be any disruptions in getting freight and other officials to Montreal because of the Iceland volcano?

Ferrari accused of spying

Quote:
Helmut Marko suspects Ferrari is using a method to secretly listen in on Red Bull's race strategies during grands prix.

Red Bull's F1 consultant revealed his sensational suspicions on German RTL television after the Spanish grand prix on Sunday.

"We have noticed that Ferrari is doing some kind of espionage," said the Austrian.

Explaining his suspicion, Marko said: "We called Mark (Webber) into the box relatively late, and yet they (Ferrari) managed to get Alonso in as well. They had been able to respond to us."

It is believed Marko's suspicions hardened when Red Bull issued fake commands for its drivers to pit in Barcelona, and Ferrari still moved to respond.

Bild newspaper said Ferrari has not yet commented

If it's true (It's Marko, who knows?) then this is the important part.

You can react to real life stuff, you can't react to stuff which doesn't happen unless you have some sort of clue it's about to.

That's interesting. I have to say I was surprised when I saw Alonso and Webber come in on the same lap for their 2nd (or 3rd?) pitstop. Fernando was really struggling at that time with Mark right behind him and the only way Ferrari could come back in front of them was to stop at the same time and battle it out in the pitlane. But obviously it's difficult to predict when the guy behind is going to stop, cause when he does, you're already past the pit-lane entry.
