Every single race on the Truck schedule this year that is at a track with lights, is being run under lights. There are too many night races.

Night racing looks cool and feels right for the trucks atleast.

That's sort of an upgrade for Bowman, I guess. Good for him. Where does this leave Annett though?

Yeah the trucks running at night doesn't bother me. Kinda feels its the best fit for them schedule wise.

Didn't that happen to him last year?

Johanna Long officially is signed to drive to Affarano motorsports, and they will be using HScott equipment from last year. With her talent, that team could get off the ground, ala JGL using the old Penske cars. Glad to see.

Jeb just didn't get it done in those Thorosport trucks, kind of a shame.

Chase Elliott to run 5 races this year in the 25 for Sprint Cup, taking over the 24 in 2016 full time.

It's gonna be mighty weird seeing the 24 without JAFF in it. I thought for sure he'd go for (at the very least) the 94, seeing as how the 9 seems to be out of the question. I asked him on Twitter a few years ago (y'know, when he was f'n 10 years old or something) what he'd like for his Cup Series number to be whenever he got there, and he said "preferably 9, but 94 would also be cool". So much for that idea, I guess!

*Also, I somewhat feel like trolling my Earnhardt fan-friends on Facebook, semi-seriously saying the 24 should be retired and never driven again.*

Should just switch to the 25 and let the 24 sit for a few years like Childress did with the 3. Just my opinion.

i agree jeff is a legend his number deserves to be temporarily retired like the 28 when yates left NASCAR thats not to say Chase doesnt have the potential to be a legend himself but i would rather see him do it under the 94 or his own number

The King says Chase can have the #9 next year if he wants it. There's no way this isn't going to happen. 2015-17 is going to be the next "1992-95" or "2000-04". A changing of the guards. Loosing JAFF like loosing Petty or Waltrip (Least he's still in top form). Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott will assuredly be title contenders like Matt Kenseth or maybe even a new Jeff/JJ dynasty will be born. Guys like Reed Sorenson and Casey Mears are going to disappear way of Hut Stricklin or Scott Riggs. There will be new packages, and hopefully much better racing. I personally am feeling pretty optimistic about what the future holds.

Don't forget Erik Jones - he'll be in the Gibbs frame in a few years as well.

And I'm sure Roush will do what he can to get Bubba Wallace up thru the ranks.

The amount of possible future Cup stars is staggering. Erik Jones, Bubba, Ryan Blaney, Ben Rhodes, Cole Custer, John Hunter Nemecheck, Ross Chastain...who else?
