Ehhh

Will they ever drop the chase and go back to the pre-2004 points system? Nope

Do I like this better than what they have now? Yep. (anything that rewards victories over consistency has to be a good thing imo. Ryan Newman, despite having the front of his car torn up at plate races while others are flipping, agrees)

Will it make it any harder for JJ to win a 7th? Probably not.

Do it, shake the order up, we might get some crazy races out of it before they all settle down and work out how to work the system all over again.

I think consistency still needs to be part of the Championship.

David Ragan would've made the chase last year if these rules were in place. That is all.

NASCAR dying... shouldn't that be celebrated? Should give stock car racing (and motorsports as a whole in America) a chance to revive itself.

Well, if Brian France's goal is to make us stop complaining about the current Chase format, then mission fucking accomplished.

What is so "thumbs up" about that "joke"? We spit on racists, but sexists are celebrated? Fuck that. de31168's comment is despicable.

In an interview on Motor Racing Network earlier this month, NASCAR Chairman Brian France said he was “not satisfied” with the current points structure.

Be unsatisfied with the stinking pile of crap that is the on-track racing instead, you waste of sperm. I don't watch half the time anymore because the racing puts me to sleep, not because the championship system isn't gimmicky enough for you.

Everyone involved in running NASCAR needs to be punched in the head. Why does everything have to be changed for the benefit of stupid people?

What's Randy Bernard up to these days?

Randy has too much common sense for NASCAR.

He wouldn't last long, first meeting they'll sack him for making too much sense.

Eh we all knew it would end up this way at some point, why is everyone so shocked? At this point, I couldn't care less. I'll still watch and most of us will still watch..... bitch when the next change happens.

The sad thing is, you can't talk about a NASCAR season having a great championship battle anymore (the kind of thing that brings me back to sports like Indycar and F1), all you can do is talk about the pros and cons of the latest championship system. And that's only made worse by this proposal.

To me, all these changes just prove that they have no idea what they're doing, and are just throwing blindly until hopefully one works.
