Not a race car driver, etc.

(NSFW, probably.)

She's still 7th FC points, which is more than Danica will probably ever be able to say in any stock car series. Also hotter IMO, the Force sisters definitely found themselves on the good looking side of the gene pool.

Stewart (Eldora) and Schrader (I-55) are the only active drivers I know of that own a track.

Rick Crawford owns Mobile Raceway which hosts the ARCA series.

And doesn't Johnny Benson own Berlin also?

I think so, and of course you've got Andy Hillenburg with Rockingham.

It would be great if someone with more commitment and some stable capital could buy the track and give it an honest-to-goodness refurbishing, even if it means tearing down some of the old relics rotting away (new commentary box, concessions, victory lane, scoring tower or billboard, perhaps even some SAFER barriers, etc.). Lure in some prominent touring series (K&N Pro East, ARCA, Whelen Mods) and work their way up from there.

I don't know why, but for some reason, I could totally see a Carolina boy like Dale Jr investing in North Wilkesboro. Does he own any tracks?

Dale Jr. co-owns the Paducah Speedway in Kentucky, along with Ken Schrader and Tony Stewart. He is also involved with building a track in Alabama but that project seems to have been in process for a few years now.

The Truck Race at Eldora officially has a name the race is now called:

The CarCash Mudsummer Classic presented by CNBC Prime's "The Profit"

I don't know about you but I'm just going to call it "The Truck Race at Eldora."

They weren't going to put half the field on probation and/or fine that many of them.

What exactly was the gain to be had with running different spacers anyway?

Someone on another forum said that with the spacers being hollow, they resonate the engine vibrations through the Earnhardt bar into the roof and into those hollow spacers. It creates a small bubble of high pressure inside the tubes and helps to lift the flaps up a little bit, getting just a tad bit of air over the spoiler then what should be. Good for .867-1 mph in a single car run and up to 3.09 more during the race when hooked up with another car with the modification.

In other news, Ryan Preece will be making his Nationwide debut for TBR at Loudon this weekend and they went out to test at Thompson as it's a track both he and the team know well.

Here is what Carl Edwards did in Michigan recently.

It's amazing how much things have changed since 1901.

Wow, can't believe its been that long. I remember the day he died, what I was doing and everything. I was only 12 years old at the time, but I can recall it vividly.
RIP Davey

Anyone know more details about the number 40 team that Cassill is going to drive for for the rest of the season? Start and park?

The worst kept secret is out........ at least we get a car number.

Quote:
Harvick, Budweiser joining Stewart-Haas in 2014: For more than 30 years Budweiser has sponsored some of NASCAR's top race car drivers. The King of Beers will continue its rich tradition in the sport by joining Kevin Harvick as he moves to Stewart-Haas Racing in 2014 to drive the #4 Chevy SS in the Sprint Cup Series.
"Over the last three years, Kevin has been an amazing ambassador for Budweiser, both on and off the track," said Blaise D'Sylva, vice president of media, sports and entertainment marketing, Anheuser-Busch. "We value that level of commitment, and we're proud to join him at Stewart-Haas Racing next season."
Under the terms of the deal, Budweiser will serve as primary sponsor of the #4 Chevy for 20 races as well as the Budweiser Duel during Budweiser Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway. Budweiser will serve as a major associate sponsor for the remaining races on the Sprint Cup Series schedule.
With the move to Stewart-Haas Racing next year, Harvick will utilize the #4. The transition to the team comes as Harvick enters his 14th year in NASCAR's top series. Thus far, he has earned 21 Sprint Cup Series wins, 96 top-five and 198 top-10 finishes.

I recall SHR filed a trademark on the #4 back in April. At least it's now confirmed.

So SHR won't go to 4 cars, which means Newman needs a ride for next year.
