Lowe's could end full-time sponsorship of Jimmie Johnson after 2013.

Hopefully Jimmie retires from Nascar and goes to drive for Robby Gordon in one of his Stadium Super Trucks.

I don't think that will happen.

Also don't know if that source is that credible. Surely one of the bigger name sources would've said something. And I'm sure the 48 team would have no trouble landing another sponsor if true

I would've agreed with you ten years ago. Now, I believe they'll probably have trouble finding sponsorship for 36 races. Dale Jr, biggest name in Nascar, is without sponsorship for 13 races. Longtime sponsor, DuPont, reduced their commitment to 14 races. Even though Gordon has sponsor for the other 22 races. Its AARP rather than major brand name.

I doubt they'll drop out all together, probably just try to split sponsorship with another company.

I still vote that Jimmy Johns drops Harvick and goes to the 48.. it'd amuse me.

Or Brock Lesnar teaming with Harvick.

Brock Lesner is sponsored by Jimmy Johns. When he was in UFC and now in WWE.

Not understanding references to pro wrestling is a positive reflection on one's character.

Looking down one's nose at pro wrestling fans is a negative reflection on one's character.

That could of easily of been a reference to Brock in UFC considering Jimmy Johns was with Brock then too. But yeah.

Whoever has tickets to that race will not be disappointed. The last chance qualifier will be worth the price of admission. Hopefully the run the whole show in one day.

Unless there is a test date, I would think they'll need at least an entire day for practice alone. I know there's probably a huge portion of the garage area (drivers and crews alike) with dirt racing in their background but not with CWTS equipment.

I saw a rumor on Kenny Wallace's twitter that Kyle Busch might field a truck for Scott Bloomquist at Eldora.

Still two weeks until ARCA/500/Speedweeks officially beginning...

Aww I thought it was this weekend.

Does the gap between the Daytona 24 and the start of NASCAR track time get bigger each year?

Feels like it does....

Well, starting last year NASCAR moved it back a little due to the perceived possibility of the NFL expanding from a 16- to 18-game season, which could cause a Super Bowl/Daytona 500 overlap if the race were to stay on its traditional weekend.
