I saw a report on twitter that Jeb Burton will be running for Turner Motorsports full-time in the Truck Series along with a partial Nationwide Series schedule next year. I'm glad he's getting a shot to run full-time because he did pretty well in the few races he ran in the #27 truck early in the season.

Jayski is also reporting the following news/rumors.

-Parker Kligermann running for Kyle Busch Motorsports full-time in the Nationwide Series Next year.

-Jon Wes Townley replacing Kligermann in the #7 Red Horse Racing Toyota.

-Brian Scott might be on his way to RCR next year.

I'm glad he's getting a good opportunity to show what he can do in the Nationwide Series. I think he's got the ability to compete for the championship in what looks to be a very competitive title fight.

It was mentioned on Jayski that he has been looking at the Nationwide Series for some time to run the full schedule next year. Kyle did something right.

Buy a ride at its finest.

Good for Parker for getting a full time Nationwide Ride. Kid has talent, that is for sure.

Quick, name something you would splurge on if you just won the Sprint Cup Championship.

If you said a tank, you're a worthy champion. That, and your name is Brad Keselowski.
Quote:
Keselowski wants to buy a tank: Brad Keselowski revealed Tuesday he intended to fulfill a promise to buy himself a tank if he won the Chase for the Sprint Cup. After hearing a story from NASCAR TV analyst and former driver Wally Dallenbach Jr. about the joys of owning one, Keselowski began researching tanks over the summer. He hasn't decided on a seller yet but wants a model "from World War II to the Korean War, something in that '40s to mid-'50s era." Keselowski, who lives in a house adjacent to Earnhardt's 200-acre homestead outside Mooresville, N.C., has been trying to convince NASCAR's most popular driver to buy his own tank. "I thought, 'Wow, that'd be awesome,' " the Penske Racing driver said. "Obviously living where I do around Dale Jr., I thought it would be cool if we both got a tank and chased each other around in the woods with them. It's kind of our deal. I promised myself if I won (the title), I would buy one whether Dale does or not. It was kind of a little bit of motivation, I'd say. I'm not one to buy trophies for myself, but I think a tank would be pretty cool. I want to put one together and have some fun with it. When I'm done playing with it, I'll just park it in the driveway."(USA Today)(11-22-2012)

Can you imagine, Dale Jr chasing Brad Keselowski through the racecar graveyard in tanks?

Well look at Stenhouse, who knows how many cars he crashed in 2009-2010. Maybe Brian can clean up his act after the last 2 seasons.

Brian has speed as he's run out front or on pace with the leaders on many occasions but either he's having to drive over his head to achieve that or has concentration issues, cause he always seems to falter when he's in that mode for a long run.

This is true. Things looked pretty hopeless for Stenhouse there, for a while.

Who was the 2012 Rookie of the Year? I've yet to find any sort of press release?

It's probably because there is so little competition.

ROTY used to be a big thing, often bigger than the Cup championship when Jimmie was walking it. Now its who starts and parks less.

Or in Kevin Conway's case, just ride around the track and get passed by the leader every 100 miles/laps or so.
