In all seriousness, is Mitt going to allow chewing tobacco sponsorships back in NASCAR if he's elected? That's the only way Lofton's deal makes sense.

Or it just shows that companies just dont know how to invest right now because Obama keeps changing things up all the time and adding and taking away rules and regulations. Companies are bannking that there would be less regulation with a republican in office.

I read that Johanna Long will be ESPN's In-Race reporter at Chicago this week. Good to see one one of the underdog teams getting this kind of exposure.

Man if tobacco came back....

It would be worth it for the paint schemes alone!

I smoke, so maybe I'm biased, but no one ever held a gun to my head to do it and no cartoon camel made me light up a cig. Most of the anti-tobacco regulations aimed at advertising are complete garbage and are robbing us race fans of almost unquestionably the prettiest paint jobs ever seen on race cars...

That, and a GIGANTIC source of cash to fund teams, series, etc.

I think I can speak for many of us that I became an alcoholic when I began watching NASCAR. Look at all those beer sponsorships!

You too? I was a Rusty fan, it was embarrassing being a 6 year old drunk.

Funfact: NASCAR hasn't had a (points) race sponsored by beer since 1998

They've had races sponsored by liquor, though.

An awesome segment that Dale Jr. did with CBS News, where he writes a "letter to me" to his 16 year old self.

I'm recently addicted to Parks and Rec, so for some reason I think of Tom Haverford making this face every time I hear/see a corny joke.

That Jr. video is awesome. Interesting to hear him show some emotion like that.
