According to his twitter, he was airlifted to a hospital, checked and is being released and looks ok to race this weekend. The brakes failed and hit a wall with no safer barrier head on at around 100mph

My first thought as well. I'm not a big fan of Nashville Superspeedway, but I guarantee you NASCAR won't replace it with anything non-Cup. Hard to tell how much of the event's boredom was the track and how much was just the lousy rules package and competition - even IRP was pretty dull this year.
