I much prefer Bestwick and I am glad to see him back, but I don't understand the hate for Reid. I admit he isn't the best commentator, but he seems too likeable to get this much stick.

I agree.... I still, to this day, can't believe the NBC/TNT fail years ago....

Marty needs to be in the pits or something. There's a lot of guys that are way better in the pits than they are in the booth.

Soooo excited about Indy now! Bestwick has always been my favorite broadcaster, and he just adds so much to a race. He belongs in the booth for Cup races.

I always liked Marty Reid when he did the truck races back in 99 and 2000. I feel like since, his style has changed, but he still does have a lot of knowledge. Plus, ESPN threw a lot on his plate with NNS, Cup, and the select IndyCar Races. Maybe the time off will bring him back to those truck days.

Finally, someone in the booth who sounds excited about the racing, and not sounding like they're commentating on paint drying, or some other mundane crap.

This might just be me, but does it seem like Reid might be suffering from some early form of dementia?
