Ricky Stenhouse Jr., coming off Iowa win, will make Cup debut for the Wood Brothers this weekend as Trevor Bayne's replacement. Also, Matt Kenseth will drive for Bayne in Saturday's Nationwide race at Charlotte.

Cool, so if you get a ticket your place of employment should be able to fine you, suspend you etc... by the severity of the infraction right?

If we were caught doing 128 in a 45... we wouldn't just get a ticket.

So when is Trevor gonna come out and say that he's done for the season?

A lot of job contracts have disrepute clauses in so yes, your employer can and should reprimand an you if you do something like this.

Personally I hope they throw the book at him and chuck his arse in jail for the maximum term (60 days), that'll wipe that smug grin off his face, it's just a shame that they no longer tie race licenses to road licenses (loose your road license, loose that race one too) as that would make these idiots act a bit more responsibly away from the track.

This shows you the stretch of road it happened on:

I will say that I got off VERY light when I got pulled over doing 128 on I-81 in PA. Differences were it was an interstate and the speed limit was 65mph and was driving a Scion tC. I got a $213 fine. it was 5 years ago and my last speeding ticket. I was stupid, I learned. I would never think of doing 128 where he did.

Don't worry, it committed suicide a couple years later.

Gotta love how everyone admires and respects the pioneers of NASCAR and their bootlegging roots but then blast Kyle for getting a speeding ticket.

Those pioneers put the safety of others at risk so they can escape the cops, make a few bucks, and therefore, provide their family with some sort of roof over their head and maybe a little food on their plate. Unglamourous and dangerous as it was, it was basically a profession.

Kyle Busch put the safety of others at risk so he can be a douchebag and show off his super-fast sports car. That's why.

You can't be seriously comparing the pioneer bootlegers and Kyle Busch? That is the most retarded thing I've heard. I think running from the cops on country back roads to provide for your family is a little different that hauling ass in a Lexus super car on a residential road with your fake titty wife in the passenger seat.

Still, breaking the law is breaking the law. We are arguing that Kyle did it to have fun, so it was wrong and the bootleggers did it to put food on the table so it was justifiable. But you could argue that they chose to do it because it was also fun to them, and a more thrilling way to make money than a more mundane, but legal, type of work like farming, working at a mill or something. But they chose the illegal route. And you can't tell me that's not a valid point as they all said what a thrill it was to make those runs. So yea, what Kyle did was wrong but if we chose to spite him and then idolize the moonshine runners turned race drivers that are such legends in our sport, then we would be nothing but hypocrites.
