It is all the concrete around it. If one of them has failed like that they will need to reset all of them and wait for them to dry. NOT an easy fix. Considering that they seem to be on the racing line.

Fp2 delayed i read. Great job F1, this manhole cover thing has happened so much on street tracks, unbelievable they let it happen again. No one else to blame too, as F1 is doing everything themselves this race.

They're talking about having a 90 minute FP2 at 2:30am. That's crazy late. And even that looks uncertain because of the time it takes to dry concrete.
Just cancel the whole weekend, and Abu Dhabi as well.

One thing is for sure, this race got people talking. We're already on page 6 and its only friday and the cars barely ran any laps.

They should just have a lane closure, complete with warning signs and cones blocking off the side of the track with the covers. THAT would be a proper and authentic US street race.
