45 blew a RF and pounded the wall. Walked away.

That’s two really quick yellows caused by tire failures after the Anderson incident. I can’t help but wonder if there were engine components that the cleanup crews missed, because that first stage was going absolutely fine from a tire standpoint (not that the tires would get stressed here anyway).

What is up with the coverage today? The camerawork is terrible. Half the field almost wrecks and the commentators are oblivious.

No fucking way you'd get me running out near to a live race track to pick up an errant tyre

It's all the way out there, it can stay out there until the yellow flies at least....

Well there's an opening on the #1 crew for next week.

Anderson's wreck reminded me of Bobby Dotter's at an ARCA race at Daytona in the late 80s. Bailed while the car was still moving. Scary stuff, I don't remember the last time I saw a driver get airlifted to a hospital.

They threw the guy out of the track for that?

I get it's a safety issue but it feels like more a "fine the team" kinda issue not "ok you're going home and not coming back" kinda issue

If it was during a yellow I don't think it'd have been a big deal, but he ran wayyy out onto the track during a live green flagged race, and on top of that he was working the first pit box. That was a pretty big mistake.

Wow Hocevar. Couldn't have made it more obvious that you spun on purpose.
