they should limit the amount of times they tweak aerodynamic parts but leave free to use as many engines they want, free the power

F1 driver getting appendicitis is pretty rare. Probably got it early.

Leclerc every race this season? Drives for a competent team on Saturdays, drives for a bunch of clowns on Sundays

Albon not the only driver to be replaced - Russell has also been replaced by Mr. Magoo.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

And there you have it, Graham Hill @ 1969 British Grand Prix.

So far, 7 drivers will take grid penalties. Making qualifying again not about who starts on pole, but who will start the least from the back.

What a ridiculous amount of grid penalties again. The limited engines to be used per season to cut costs doesn't really work, so I think they need to rethink this penalty system. Sure, a mixed up grid is nice but qualy is a farce now. The result completely changes come Sunday race start. They should just put everyone with a penalty at the back, and already show this during qualy on the timing tower (so the 9 drivers today with penalties are just fighting for spots 11 to 20).

Or make the penalties for an engine change harder, if you change an engine you are forced to miss the next grand prix. Or that driver at least, and the reserve driver gets to race instead. Or you can't score points that race that count towards the constructors championship.

Something needs to change, because with seasons getting longer and longer, the second half is a guaranteed penalty festival

And some penalties will send the driver "to the back of the grid" while others give a "25 place penalty".
Start calculating boys!

if the team principals weren't such a bunch of douches they could all take grid penalties and make qualifying on a bingo

As a fan, I am way more in favour of the fastest cars having to start from down the field more than start at the front and run away from everyone, giving us boring racing.

the problem is the dumb rules because teams knew they had to use more engines than they were allowed

De Vries is doing fine for a first timer

Latifi is dead as a dodo... if not to mention the queen. Just get rid of this guy already.

It is official, Ricciardo is in full blown Damon Hill 1999 mode. He needed a tow to just beat a guy making his debut in a Williams by half a tenth, after being called up on the morning of the race. Good effort by De Vries though.

Yeah, if you have a grid penalty, you can only drive on Q3. Simple and effective.
